So many times in our generation we start seeing the world around us through a self-centered lens. In this world, it is natural to think of ourselves first. But Jesus changes this. The good news is that the Bible is not about us. It's about Jesus. As Christians, because of Jesus, we are new creations. Philippians 2:3 calls us to "Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves." What if instead of thinking of ourselves and what people think of us we thought about how we could bless others and show them the love of Jesus?

God has called us to lay down our lives. When we realize that we were made for more than ourselves we can walk in the freedom God calls us to.
